India’s independence movement threw up three pathways for the development of an egalitarian society in post – independence India. They were the Gandhian, Nehruvian and Leftist outlooks. These three visions had different approachesthe question as to what kind of society, we the people of India would build in post- independence India. Our aim was essentially based of building an egalitarian society ands for the development of science and technology in India.
