There are few personalities in the history of humanity who were deified in their lifetime and immediately after their death, were bedevilled by their followers and foes alike. One such person was Goutham Buddha, one of the most outstanding personalities in the world. He was venerated by the princes and the common people alike when he was alive but after his death, his disciples twisted his teachings and mortified him. The Hindus, the inveterate enemies of Buddha’s teachings, however, made him an incarnation of Vishnu, One of their holy Trinity. Another such person was Stalin. He was extolled to heavens when he lived and worked but immediately after his death he was decried as a rogue and a villain. Khruschev led the way.
